My New York Times newsletter emails suddenly stopped arriving.

After more than 3 successful years, my New York Times subscription's newsletter emails have stopped arriving. Although, the NYT support seemed great, and a few emails actually got thru for 3 days at the end of March, an ongoing solution has not been found. In the past 2 months of working with NYT, my own Outlook for Windows, with Bluehost, and online Microsoft "Support" ... still no luck.

Hoping maybe someone here has found a solution for same or similar problem?

(PS: Had similar loss of contact from Facebook notifications a few months before that and still, but don't care very much, so gave up.)

    Edward,

Thanks so much for the detailed reply. The C/S people at NYT worked with me for over 2 months to fix the problem. I had a subscription for years that just stopped working for the newsletters. In the end, I had to re-assign my subscription to a different email. Fortunately, my husband and our businesses have more than one web host so we switched it. Not everyone could do that, it was a pain, and I still think they should have been able to fix it from their end ... but I was worn down after months and just wanted to get back to normal. So glad it worked, finally. Still kind of holding my breath every day though! :)

Again, thanks so much for your thoughtful response.

    Hi Alyssa,

Thanks for quick response. Actually, I did all those things on Day 1! (And a few times since to make sure.) Have spent probably 30+ hours trying and documenting for the NYT. Again, thanks. ~Trudi

My wife had the same issue around the same time that she switched from an NPR subscription to a subscription bought through the iphone (it shows up in the iphone settings subscriptions). She called NY Times and they said that all her subscriptions were blocked. We did not see this when she logged into her NYT account. But we had tried to connect her apple account to the NYT account. NYT's page popup said there was an error connecting the account. At that point we called NYT customer service. They unblocked everything on their end and now all's good.

    Good luck

Hello Trudi, happy to help you today dear :)

You have reached a user-user forum where we try our best to help each other out. None of us here work for Microsoft and it is beyond our capability to assist directly with account or login-related issues.

Have you checked your subscription status or reached out to new yor times if the issue occurs there also?

Also, try checking your spam folder if the emails are being sent there.

I also suggest you look into your filters and rules to see if anything is causing the issue.

Hope this helps! have a great day

    Alyssa

Hi ! This is Benpella . I'm a fellow Outlook.com user and I'm sorry to hear about the issue.

The one thing I would suggest is adding the email addresses for these newsletters to your <Safe Mailing Lists> ss

    • click on the <Gear> (Settings) icon - top right
    • click on <View all Outlook settings
    • select <Mail> --> <Junk Email>
