Hi
I have just purchased and installed Office Professional Plus 2021 after upgradng from Office 2016, but I am unable to re-add my outlook account. This worked fine when I set it up in 2016.
It finds my email address and when I click next the dialogue box keeps flashing and then states it hasn't worked.
Does anyone know the settings to set this up as I have looked online for SMTP & IMAP and I can't remember what exactly I need to put in each of these Server Boxes. I have just put IMAP and SMTP, and the number and encryptions specified with no luck.
I know previously you had to download a hotmail converter but I can't seem to find that even, I have used hotmail for years and really want to use it in outlook rather than in MAIL or online as I find it's more convenient.
I have tried outlook.com, Exchange, POP, IMAP when trying to set it up manually and all failed.
Thank you

Maybe it was them then. Thank you
I've lost all my contacts anyway, just glad i've got it working :-)
Coincidentally the person who had a problem with her Outlook app yesterday has no problem accessing her mailbox this morning. I did absolutely nothing to her computer. I just told her to use a web browser as a workaround so she could continue working yesterday. I also told her to keep retrying Outlook app every few hours. Didn't connect until I left the office around 4 pm.
This is the error she got when launching Outlook app:
She can access her mailbox with a web browser on that same PC so network isn't the issue. My suspicion was correct. Problem was on the server side.
