Thank you Glen! I'll check into this. Can we please keep the thread open for a bit while I dig in? I'll keep you posted.

Outlook Calendar for iOS doesn’t allow me to send a meeting invite to anyone who is not in my directory. If I’ve never sent them anything before, their email address won’t “stick” after I attempt to type it into the invitation.

Hi Glen,
Sorry for the delayed response. This is happening with my business address. @heartlegacy.com.
Also, to clarify I am not having the issue on my desktop workstation.
Just the iOS app. OR when I access Outlook with one of my phone’s web browsers.
Thanks for the additional information, Hillary. And my apologies for the late reply.
So, you answered above that you're using iOS 16.0.02. But I actually needed to know what is the version number of Outlook that was installed on your iPhone. Can you please provide me that particular detail?
To find out what version you have please (A) open Outlook on your device; (B) select Settings > Help & Feedback; (C) Scroll to the bottom of the page; and (D) the version number appears there.
Also, have you already reinstalled Outlook on your iPhone and see if that resolved the issue?
We await your response.
Sincerely,
Glenn Rue
Hi Glen,
I’m using iOS 16.0.02.
This occurred when trying to send a meeting invite to people with a business email address. Here are some examples. @greystar.com; @interrentreit.com; @jonesstreet.com.
However, I tried an @gmail.com address as well with no luck.
I’m not sure how long I’ve had this issue, but it definitely seems like I’ve been able to successfully schedule meetings with any email address in the past from my iOS device.
I can easily schedule meetings with any email address from my desktop workstation using either the Outlook desktop app or the online version.
My CEO is having the same problem with his iOS device.
Hope this helps.
Hello, Hillary.
Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum. Please accept our warmest regards and sincerest hope that all is well.
From the description provided it seems you are unable to add anyone not in your contacts lists to a meeting invite created in the calendar part of Outlook for iOS.
This issue may have been caused by settings in the Outlook for iOS app or the iPhone itself that need to be changed. Or it may also be a problem with email account itself. So, let us work together as a team to get to the bottom of this. But to better assist you I need to ask:
Hope to hear from you soon.
Respectfully,
Glenn Rue
