Hi! My name is Ben a fellow member here in the community and hope you are doing well!

Just to clarify, are you referring in linking your android phone to your laptop? I am using this feature on Windows 10 as well called "Phone Link" which will allow you to connect your smartphone to your device to view your text messages.

Here is the link how you can do this https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sync-ac... it also works for Windows 10. Just search "Phone link" then launch the app.

If this is not what you are trying to achieve or if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to post back here in the community. We will try with the best of our knowledge to help you.

    Kind regards,

    Ben

Thanks for the update! I am afraid the only feature available for Windows 10 and 11 is the phone link app.

It will allow you to send and receive text messages once you link your phone to your Windows device such as the information to be found here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/send-...

You can actually try to set it up again, then see if it will be similar to the one you wanted to happen. I can't think of other apps that would work on Windows, if there is it might be third party but haven't found one yet and as a fellow Windows user in my opinion, it is risky to install unknown third party apps as it might risk your device from getting a virus or malware.

    Ben,

Thanks for the quick reply. I had tried installing phone link on my Windows laptop earlier, but after clicking on the QR code, I was not able to complete the install. However, not sure if phone link will allow me to do what I want. I want to send "text" with an attachment from the laptop to my Android phone "Messages" App---. In other words, I want a Messages app on my laptop that works like the Messages app on my Android phone. I don't want to send email text to a different app on the Android phone. Probably not possible.

    Walt
