I don't have a Sent Items folder in outlook

I have recently changed my email accounts from POP to IMAP so i can access the emails across multiple devices but one of my email accounts hasn't come with a Sent items folder and as such it doesn't save sent emails (the other two accounts did work). I have tried the IMAP folders and it's not listed as a subscribe folder option, I've selected save to sent items in options which also doesn't help. I've removed and re-added the account which isn't working either. The error message is "The message cannot be saved to your IMAP email account Sent items folder, because Outlook is offline or the email server doesn’t allow items to be saved to the Sent items folder". I'm online, as is outlook and my email provider has assured me it's not their issue...... Any ideas?

Hi, and thanks for reaching out. My name is Iya. I'm an independent advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

To further help you with your concern. The possible reason why you don't have Sent items folder, the Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder option in Outlook is disabled.

Enable the Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder option by following the steps below for your version of Outlook.

In Outlook 2010 or later versions:

    1. Select File, and then Options.
    2. In the Outlook Options dialog, select Mail.
    3. Under the Save messages section, enable the Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder option.
    4. Select OK.

I hope that helps, and please feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Regards,

You may also try to check your email messages in Outlook.com to know if the issue is only encountered on the app and not the web.
