My old e-mail account was deleted, and I don't know what to do.

my old e-mail was deleted. It used "live.com" and one day when I tried to log into it, it just said that the account didnt exist. This is a major issue because I have several accounts with other companies connected to this e-mail. I can even log into it on outlook.com, and its all janky because its like this hybrid account that shows my new account and my old account, and its very confusing. and see old e-mails addressed to the account "*@live.com", and it shows the e-mail now as "outlook*@outlook.com" rather than my old e-mail. I can't disconnect other accounts from this e-mail because in order to get access to them, they send verification e-mails to it just to log in, but I don't receive them. I just don't know what to do, I don't want to lose these old accounts as I've spent money on buying things on them and I don't want to lose that.

    Hello Jeff

Hi, I'm Karl and will be happy to help you today.

First and very importantly, just so there is no misunderstanding, this is a public user-to-user support forum. We're users just like you helping other users. We do not work for Microsoft and have no access to any user account so there is nothing we can do or check from within the forum. We have no input on Microsoft's policies, procedures, or design decisions.

With that said, I have a detailed article regarding the "Does not exist" error

    Account “does not exist” error

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/fo...

Bottomline, the bad news is that once an account (email address) has been deleted for whatever reason, it can never be recovered under any circumstances. There are no exceptions to this Microsoft policy.

The only option your have in regards to the other accounts where this email address is used as recovery address etc, you will need to contact the support dept for the various accounts and ask them what your options are considering the current circumstances. There is nothing you can do from the Microsoft side of things.

Lastly, there is no point in contacting Microsoft support about an account that you cannot access as described at the top of the following article

How to get support for Outlook.com

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/how-...

Also, for your information, If you try to create a new account using a deleted email address, you would encounter an error message that the email address is already in use. That is technically correct since every email address is maintained in a database so that it can be checked. What is misleading about that message is that it does not indicate that it involves a deleted email address which causes confusion
