I've noticed recently that images are not being displayed in emails. I'm sure they were in the past. I think there is a simple fix but I can't recall how I did this before. Thanks for any help out there.

Hello Ian! My name is Abdullah, and I will assist you today.

I am sorry to know that you are experiencing this issue. The option for showing pictures must be disabled. Please follow the steps below:

    1. Open the Outlook app and compose a new email.
    2. Go to the File tab in the ribbon > Options > Mail > Editor Options.
    3. Go to the Advanced tab > Check the box for Show picture... Then choose OK.

    Thank you.

    Best,

    Abdullah

    Hi Ian,

    Thank you for the reply.

I see. Let us create a new profile and check if that can help.

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Select the Windows icon, type Control Panel in the search box and select it.
    2. In Control Panel, search Mail, and select it.
    3. The Mail icon won't appear unless you have Outlook installed and have run the program at least once.
The Mail Setup dialog box opens.
    4. Click Show Profiles. > Choose prompt for a profile to be used.
    5. Click Add.
    6. Type a name for the profile, and then click OK
    7. Add an e-mail account to use in your profile by following the directions on your screen.

Note: DO NOT delete the old profile.

    Thank you.

Can you confirm the reason why not to delete the old profile?

    Thanks again for your help.

Under Display Email Content, the only check box is for 'show picture placeholders'.

It seems that I now don't even get a link but only a box. I'm still not seeing pictures, for instance each day I get an email with a piece of artwork and some comments, which show fine on my hand held and tablet but not in Outlook.

Are there any other suggestions? I'm sure this can't be a difficult matter to fix.

    Thank you.
