Hello! My name is Mustafa, I will be assisting you today

Note: This is a user-to-user support forum and I am a fellow user who doesn't work for Microsoft.

That is definitely a phishing email, Microsoft doesn't send out emails for accounts being closed. Your account will only be closed if you choose the close it yourself, or due to inactivity if you don't use it for 2 years and even then you won't receive an email about your account being closed.

So do not interact with that email and mark it as junk.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Warm Regards,

    Mustafa

    You are welcome.

It is not hard to copy the original since Microsoft sends out email notifications when there is some unusual login. So they copy the original format and send out spam emails.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

The email has an attached file not a link so can't copy and paste to browser. I'm using outlook app to access my hotmail account so far I'm still getting emails. So I'm pretty sure that was scam. I just checked my junk folder and notice several emails from Microsoft team saying someone from Russia has accessed to my account and if it's not me i should click report user. But I'm not even sure if it's legit. This is crazy, i can't tell what is real what is not anymore.

Btw, I'm still can't find how to attach file here

Hello, I would recommend you sign in from a browser and see if you get any pop-up notifications.

If you want to see if the link is real or not copy the link and then open it in incognito mode this way if it is fake it will open a website that doesn't belong to Microsoft pay attention to the URL and see if it belongs to Microsoft. If it is real then you click on the link.

The email addresses are automatically removed which is why I asked for a screenshot. I have attached a screenshot of where you can find it. Make sure to not share your private information. Just the senders.

Also, it is 6th June for me now so are you still able to access your account?

Thank you so much for providing how to the check sign in activity info. That is exactly what i needed. There was no russia sign in or whatever. Totally scam emails. No wonder outlook put those emails in the junk folder. But gosh, they look so real!
