Please help unblock my hotmail account.

Please help!

I've desperately been trying to unblock my Hotmail account since April after it was closed on my smart phone when travelling to a family wedding in South Africa. I unfortunately tried logging back in with the previous password after which the account was blocked. I submitted the verification form numerous times, filling in as much information as I can remember, but the automated response from your system is always that the information is not sufficient.

I created my account in 1996 and it is very hard for me to remember all the information.

Please advise on how I can access my account.

    I am Prakash and happy to help you with your question, I'm a Microsoft consumer like you.

    Sorry to hear about your problem, but I have to say that the only way to recover the account is through the automated form you appeared to have tried. There is no other way. You could submit the form up to twice daily until you succeed. Below is Microsoft’s guidance for using the form;

    I can understand that this may be disappointing, but it is the only answer there is, I am sorry.

    Thank you for your kind response.

    I returned from my travels to South Africa at the end of April and tried the to verify my account information with no success and was blocked for 31 days. I submitted a new verification form today, again with no success. I am desperate to have access again as I have very important emails that I am not able to see.

    It is not clear from your post when you submitted the verification forms.

    Where you still travelling?

    You have to prepare your account for access while travelling.

    Trying to recover your account while you are still travelling is a waste of time and keeps your account locked which is the opposite of what you want.

    Note

    If you’re traveling and can’t access the email or phone that you've associated with your account, there are some other options:

    • If you brought a device you normally sign in to and you've set it as a trusted device, you can sign in from that device and get back into your account.
    • If you left your phone at home and know someone who has access to it, you can ask them to tell you the security code sent to the device.

    If these options aren't available, you'll be able to get back into your account after you sign in from a trusted device or from a usual location.
