Hello Gabriella_921,Good morning!Thank you for publishing in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you. Based on the description you have shared; we are little be confused so we need more details.
typically, when you attach an email to another email in Outlook, it becomes a part of the message body and cannot be sent separately. To allow your boss to send the attached email, you can forward the email to him instead of attaching it. Alternatively, you can save the email as a draft and share the draft with your boss. To do this, go to the "File" tab, select "Save As," and choose "Outlook Template" as the file type. Then, share the template with your boss, and he can open it and send it as a new email. It's important to know the type of account you're using, because each account has a different process and a different support category. What type of account is affected? is outlook.com account, Hotmail account, or professional/educational account. However, to better understand the problem and provide a solution, we need more details from you, please provide us with the following information. Thank you.
1-Please do you mean you have sent to your boss some draft emails as attachments to a message. When he opens the attachments to revise the emails before sending, the send button is unavailable as it is greyed out.
and you want to know How can you send these drafts without any problem for your boss to have any problem. if yes
-To send an attached Draft message, you’ll first need to save this item into your own Drafts folder. This is because attachments which are opened directly from within Outlook are opened as Read Only.
Drag & drop works best to achieve this easily; select the attachment in the Reading Pane and click and hold the mouse button to drop it into the Drafts folder.
When you now open the item from the Drafts folder, the Send button is active so you can send the message.
You cannot directly send an attached draft message; move it to your Drafts folder first.
-you can also copy them into a new message and sent them.
2-Please do you want to Send a draft email for someone (your boss) else to send? if yes please follow the steps in this thread: Sending a draft email for someone else to send - Microsoft Community 3-Are you using Outlook on the web or Outlook desktop software? Is your boss using the same software?
If you are using Outlook desktop software, which version are you using?
It should work as described if you are both using Outlook desktop software. It does not work using Outlook on the web. 4-If the above descriptions are not correct kindly give us more details
We look forward to your reply. This requested information will help us narrow down the scenario and find the right troubleshooting.
