Notes in Outlook not working.

I am encountering a persistent problem across multiple platforms while trying to access the Notes function in Outlook. Whenever I attempt to open my notes, I am presented with a message that reads: "loading your notes..." but it doesn’t progress beyond this point.

Platforms Tested:

  1. Outlook on Windows
  2. Outlook on Mac
  3. Online at outlook.office.com

Steps Taken Prior to Reporting:

  1. Attempted to access Notes from different devices and platforms to rule out device-specific issues.
  2. Ensured internet connection was stable while accessing from outlook.office.com.
  3. Cleared browser cache and cookies before trying again from the web interface.
  4. Restarted both Windows and Mac devices to see if the issue resolved post-reboot.

Error Message:

"loading your notes..."

Impact:

Due to this issue, I am unable to access, view, or manage any of my historical notes on Outlook. I am also unable to generate new notes.

    Dear Emmett-Hawkins

Good day! Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you!

Based on your description, I have a general understanding of what you mean, given that your problem does not only occur in a particular device or a particular system, which means that the problem is not related to the device, it seems to be related to the server backend, so in order to better help you and not waste more of your time, because our forum lacks relevant knowledge and permissions to fix your problem, so to better help you and not waste more time, please kindly try to create a service ticket in the Microsoft 365 admin center to support > service requests through navigation, as they have more access permissions than on this forum, and professional engineers will further help you.

Note: if you are not using admin account, please kindly ask admin within your organization for help.

Thank you in advance for your understanding! Your patience and cooperation will be greatly appreciated. I hope all the best!

    Sincerely

Kerry Chen | Microsoft Community Moderator
