Setup an IMAP email account on Office 2016 or O365, Test Account Setting is greyed out

Dear Sirs,

I am writing to you for how could I fix the test account setting on Outlook 2016 or O365.

When I used Outlook 2010 to set up an IMAP email account, test account settings could be unclicked normally. Therefore, if I upgrade to Outlook 2016 or O365, then the check box will be greyed out.

I have taken a look at such articles somewhere on the internet, they usually mentioned this cannot be fixed. So, may I please have more information here?

Thank you very much for your replying and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kenson Lau
