About Focused and Other Inbox

Hi there,

I am managing my client's emails in outlook. He already delegate access to manage his emails. However, I can only see the Inbox tab and not the Focused and the Other like mine. But when I used the classic version of the outlook I can see his Focused and Other inbox.

By the way, I am using the outlook browser and not the outlook app and if there's any difference? We just want the Focused and the Other inbox be displayed in his inbox and not just the Inbox alone. and not switching from the classic version all the time. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks.

    Dear Julie,

I am glad to tell you that New Outlook app can support share folder Focused and the Other feature since today's update.

You can see if your New Outlook app had been supported.

    Best Regards,

    Dear Julie,

    Thanks for your reply.

New Outlook can't support Focused and the Other feature while you access the share folder or mailbox :(

Focused Inbox for Outlook - Microsoft Support

The Focused Inbox REST API provides Microsoft 365 mailbox message classification and training to help users sort their email efficiently. However, this API isn't supported for the Microsoft 365 Shared mailbox. Outlook for Windows currently displays "Focused Inbox" hints for shared mailboxes. This is unexpected behavior. Microsoft is aware of the problem, and this article will be updated after changes are complete.

We do understand it would be more convenient and suitable for your daily work, but as New Outlook is still working on product features development and in improvement. Please waiting for Outlook product team release this feature in New Outlook and New Outlook for web.

As a workaround, you could use Simplified and Classic Ribbons in Outlook for web or Classic Outlook desktop app.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Have a good day!!

    Best Regards,

Hi yes, we did this already. I set my owned outlook settings to this layout, sort messages into Focused and Other and also with my client but since he let me manage his outlook when I switched from Inbox to his, I don't see the Focused and the Other only Inbox where I can see all the pinned emails on top. And when I used the web browser outlook and viewed as Simplified ribbon can see his Focused and Other but I cannot see the pinned emails on top. How to fix all of this?

    Thanks.
