Envelope icon no longer showing when new mail arrives in outlook. Have checked settings in outlook and option is ticked. Have also made sure enabled in main settings

Have also checked the taskbar option in settings. Have also checked its not showing as hidden

    In Windows 11, there are 2 places where you can define which icons will be visible in the system tray.

    First place is "Notification settings" accessible by right-clicking on the date in the lower right corner.

    Unfortunately, it is not enough to enable Outlook there.

    Second place is "Taskbar Settings".

    Click Start – Settings – Personalization – Taskbar – Other system tray icons

    There are 2 icons in the list named "Microsoft Outlook".

    Find and enable "Microsoft Outlook" with an envelope icon.

    Hi.

    For step 1 - the toggle was already at OFF so does not apply to my issue

    For step 2 - I have never created any rules so this also does not apply

    So, unfortunately the suggestions were of no help to me

    1. Click Start - Settings - Personalization - Taskbar - Use small taskbar buttons - toggle should be OFF.
    2. Additionally, the new message reminder only works on the mail sent to the Inbox, if you have created a rule and moved it to another folder, the desktop alerts will not take effect.

    small taskbar is definitely toggle off and still not working

    still not working - it worked 2 weeks ago then just stopped
