Shared mailboxes not showing in older version of outlook, only new version, can i force it to show?

Hello,

I have recently created a new shared mailbox through office 365, and normally this would show automatically on the reading pane in Outlook.
However its not showing in the older version, and when added manually says its already in use. I can switch to the new version and this shows under 'Shared with me' and works fine.

Why isnt this working in the previous outlook version 2310 (build 16924.20124) (new version i have is 1.2023.1101.300 (Production))

This is happening for multiple users on the old version who have been added as members with permissions to the shared mailbox.

Also tried this through Exchange-03 directly on the server and this also did not work in the old outlook.

    First of all, we apologize for the inconvenience and inconvenience caused to your work! Based on your description, I have a rough idea of your problem, it's possible that the older version of Outlook may not be compatible with the new shared mailbox. However, you can try the following steps to force the shared mailbox to show up:

    1. Click File>choose account settings
    2. Select the email account that is not showing the shared mailbox and click "Change".
    3. Click "More Settings".
    4. Go to the "Advanced" tab.
    5. Click "Add" under "Mailboxes".
    6. Type in the name of the shared mailbox and click "OK".
    7. Click "OK" again to close the settings window.
    8. Open Outlook and see if the shared mailbox is now visible.
