Wish I could find the equivalent setting on Mac. The entire Office suite seems to insist on ignoring the default browser, instead using Safari. So far, I've not been able to find any equivalent to the Advanced settings within the preferences panels for the various Office apps on Mac.

Hi Mia. Thanks for your reply. I'm running MacOS Ventura 13.5.2. The instructions you provided for setting the default browser aren't quite correct. The default browser setting is under "Desktop and Dock" rather than "General."

In any case, I had already set the default browser to Chrome. The issue was that Office apps seemed to ignore that setting, and instead launch Safari for any links. But upon further testing, it wasn't just Office. So I went into settings and reset the default browser back to Safari, and then to Chrome again, and now it seems to have taken, and is working properly. So some issue on the MacOS side, now resolved.
