My hotmail account has been hijacked....sort of. Everytime I try to login to my hotmail account on my laptop, I get a message that the account has been blocked because someone has tried to login and using the wrong password. I can reset the account easily and it works no problem on my smartphone app. I have been getting emails from various UK and Australian businesses that are not spam so I know someone in those countries has opened a similar named account but with the .uk or .au. Mine is the .com. My email address has also shown up on the dark web as well. Can I create a new account and easily port over all my emails with an autoforward? Is there any other solution to this problem?

    Hello DH42

Hi, I'm Karl and will be happy to help you today.

First, just so there is no misunderstanding, this is a public user-to-user support forum. We're users helping other users. We do not work for Microsoft and have no access to any user account so there is nothing we can do or check from within the forum.

There is no option to migrate existing account emails from one account to another account via the web interface. You would need to use a desktop email client like the Outlook desktop program (part of Office) or an email client like "emClient" (free to use if you do not have more than 2 email accounts)

eM Client with Microsoft Exchange https://www.emclient.com/em-with-microsoft-exchange

As for using an auto-forward option, not sure what that would accomplish since you would be getting the sane emails in the new account.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, we're here to help you further if needed.
