My email inbox view has gotten so small

I want it back to the way it was before. I have the same question as this: my Outlook inbox view is so squished and i want it back to how it was - Microsoft Community

But none of the solutions listed there worked for me. Please help.

    Thanks for your update!

    Baced on your information, I tested again.

    I used the same settings of view as that of yours first, you can see my outlook view showed similar like your current display:

    I tried different changes many times, and I found still the Compact view shows like what you want:

    Since you mentioned that, in compact view, you do not have the reading pane, would you please change the view to compact first, and check whether you have the option to turn on the readning pane, if you can see it, choose Right:

    If you still have this issue after changing to this view, please send me a screenshot of your view option navigation bar, I will try my best to investigate it fuether.

    Hello,

    Switching to Compact view is not what I want, it simply removes the reading pane section. The issue I'm having still exists.

    I tried all the other suggested solutions you listed, none of those resolved the issue either. I'm still not viewing my inbox emails the way I was before and I don't like the list so small. I can't figure out why they got so squished.     I'm using Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2307 Build 16.0.16626.20198) 64-bit.

    Here's a screenshot of my inbox right now:

    The online version displays the new Outlook, but the inbox list looks more like how I used to have it and want it back, see it is more spaced out between each row.

    I hope we can find a resolution to get my inbox back the way it was before! Thanks

    Based on your description, you are having issue with Outlook display issues.

    Acoording to the information you provided, seems that the issue was caused by view settings in Outlook.

    Would you please change the view and check whether you can make the display back, please refer to the steps below:

    Click View on the pane, click on Change View - Select Compact.

    If the issue persists, would you please try the option of "Reset View". If issue still happens, please try to repair Outlook and re-install the latest version of Outlook for Office365 following:

    Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support.

    Download and install or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2021 on a PC or Mac - Microsoft Support.

    At the same time, please share me some more detailed information so that I can investigate it further:

    1. Does the issue happens on Outlook client only or also online version of Outlook?
    2. Will you please share me your Outlook version details? Please follow this article What version of Outlook do I have? - Microsoft Support and follow the steps to check.
    3. Are you using Microsoft365 account or personal account (whichis ended with outlook.com or hotmail.com) or some other 3rd party pop/imap account?
    4. Would you please share some screenshots abbout it?

    I would try to reproduce your issue to have further investigation. Would you please share me some setting in your Outlook so that I ccan have a test accordingly:

    1. Click View and select Change view, let me know which view you are using.
    2. Click View settings and let me know about the view settings.
    3. Click Manage Preview and let me know the detailed option which you are using.
    4. Whether you selcted the Use Tighter Spacing.
