how do I add a safe senders list to hotmail?

I want to reduce the spam etc. in Hotmail (on the outlook.live.com web page) . How do I implement a whitelist?

The internet says "click on Options top right and etc. ..."

Can't find the "options" on our hotmail screen (running under Windows 10)

    Hi there Singletond!

    I am Lumie and I would love to help you today.

    If you go to this link: [https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/mail/junkEmail] and log in if prompted you should come to your Junk Email settings. This can come up if you go to the Settings cog in the top right of your screen, then go to Emails > Junk Email.

    When you get to this page, you can click add to your Safe Senders list and input your safe email addresses.

    You can then go to the bottom and click Only trust email from addresses in my Safe Senders and Domains lists and Safe mailing lists. This should send all of your emails that are not from your preferred peers to your junk. =)
