How do I add an extra outlook email account

Running Windows 11 Home on a Laptop with Office 365. In outlook, I currently have email accounts under ___@___.___, ___@___.___, ___@___.___ plus two others. (Note : ME is just a dummy name). All these appear with their emails when I open Outlook.

I want a new email as ___@___.___. I have logged into Microsoft account and under my Profile - Your Info, have created the new email account. 2 email addresses appear on the Profile - ME and ME1.

When I try to use this to send a test to another address, it does not recognise this address - undeliverable.

Q1. How do I make Microsoft Outlook recognise this email address.

Q2. How do I get it to display with the other email addresses when I open Outlook.

If you have the new Outlook, note that it may support fewer account types than the classic version of the program. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-an-email-account-to-outlook-6e27792a-9267-4aa4-8bb6-c84ef146101b#PickTab=New_Outlook.

Thanks for that. I tried as suggested but the same problem came up - problem creating the account. To solve the problem, I used Google to set up a "Free" account in Microsoft as you do in MAIL. This worked and it is now set up and appears on the email addresses I use. It's a round-a-bout way but it works which is all I wanted.

Thanks for posting the query here in this forum.

To add another email to Outlook account:

Select File > Add Account.

(If you don't see a File tab, perhaps you are using New Outlook for Windows: https://support.microsoft.com/office/add-an-email-account-to-outlook-6e27792a-9267-4aa4-8bb6-c84ef146101b#picktab=new_outlook">https://support.microsoft.com/office/add-an-email-account-to-outlook-6e27792a-9267-4aa4-8bb6-c84ef146101b#picktab=new_outlook

Enter your email address and click Connect.

If prompted, enter your password again, then select OK > Finish to start using your email account in Outlook.
