• May I please confirm if you are using Microsoft 365 business account (such as ******@companydomain.com), Microsoft Personal account (such as Outlook.com, live.com or hotmail.com) or Third-part account?

Typically, a phone number is associated with your email account, and if you change your phone number, it also changes it in all apps where you use this linked email account. So that, you need to log in to your email account on the browser to change phone number.

Therefore, if you are using Microsoft business account, please kindly follow the below steps.

• If you are querying to update your contact information phone number, Go to Microsoft admin center --> Users --> Active users --> Selelct your account --> under Account, scroll down and under Phone number, select Manage contact and update your phone number.
• Additionally, you can also change, sign into (https://www.office.com/ ) --> click on your Profile picture icon --> My Microsoft 365 profile -->under Contact information update your phone number.
• However, if your query is updating phone number which associate with your Microsoft 365 account, sign into (https://www.office.com/ ) --> click on your Profile picture icon --> View account --> Security info -->Select Change. You can refer to Update your admin phone number and email address - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

If you are using Microsoft Personal account (such as Outlook.com, hotmail.com or live.com)

• (Sign into your Outlook account --> click on your profile picture --> My profile --> under Account info, click Edit account info and change your phone number)?
