This feature has been around for eons so it is not an oversight. What were they thinking! How do you selectively reduce file size.

This is incredibly stupid. For a lot of efficient knowledge workers (like me), deleting attachments (after downloading/saving them to a legit filing system) is a key to efficiency. Leaving attachments on emails is lazy and leads to loss of documents. Why would MS engineers decide to take this ability away from users?

I need this feature too. Why take this away? It would also be good if "Save As" worked like a proper save-as where you can decide where to download rather than get stuck with the default Download directory.

I agree. "updates" to new Outlook are incredibly stupid. Can't "save as" attachment, or delete them now. How can that, by any stretch of the imagination, be considered an improvement?

I think they just want all of our data, permanently stored in the cloud where it is permanently accessible.

Hi, It seems that they have removed the ability to remove attached documents from received or sent emails. Clearly a money making tactic as email storage is cloud based you pay for what you use. Attachments take up more space. You fill it up quicker... then need to buy more. I will be advising fellow designers/Mac to stop using outlook and stick with mail.

I am very disappointed in outlook for taking this approach to their business. Non of the above options work. There is no delete function button or command anywhere. so angry
