merge multiple emails to one inbox

I have multiple email accounts in Outlook (gMail, Outlook) and would like to have them all present in 1 inbox. I had 2016 previously and did this but for the life of me can't recall all the steps to merge them. I know it has to do with "would you like to create a new .pst or use an existing one?" but no recall of the process.

Hello MSA_600! I'm Ivan and I'd be happy to help you with your question,

To accomplish this, you can use the "Add Account" feature in Outlook to add all your email accounts and have their emails delivered to a single inbox. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you achieve this:

    1. Open Outlook: Launch Microsoft Outlook on your computer.
    2. Click on "File": In the top-left corner of the Outlook window, click on the "File" tab.
    3. Account Information: In the File menu, click on "Add Account."
    4. Auto Account Setup: The "Add Account" window will appear. Here, select "Email Account" and enter your name, email address, and password for the first email account you want to add. Click "Next."
    5. Repeat for Other Accounts: Outlook will attempt to configure the email settings automatically. If the configuration is successful, you'll see a "Congratulations" message, and your email account will be added to Outlook. If you have more accounts to add, click on "Add another account" and repeat the process for each additional email account.
    6. All Accounts in One Inbox: Once you have added all your email accounts, Outlook will start receiving emails from all the accounts and deliver them to your primary inbox. You can now see emails from all accounts in one unified inbox.

I provided you a similar topic that could possibly help you, quick fixes and troubleshooting found here: (How to Merge Multiple Gmail Accounts in One Inbox) https://www.dragapp.com/blog/multiple-gmail-accounts-one-inbox/ or (How to combine multiple emails into one in outlook?) https://www.cliently.com/blog/how-to-combine-multiple-emails-into-one-in-outlook#:~:text=To%20combine%20multiple%20emails%20into%20one%20in%20Outlook%2C%20select%20all,%22Create%20Email%20from%20Selection.%22 or (merging multiple microsoft exchange emails to one inbox on outlook) https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/merging-multiple-microsoft-exchange-emails-to-one/b764f31f-4b9b-4923-bacb-66894a78b017

By following these steps, you can consolidate multiple email accounts into one inbox in Microsoft Outlook. This makes it easier to manage and access all your emails in a single place.

If you need further assistance or encounter any issues during this process, I recommend checking the Microsoft Support website or visiting the Microsoft Community forums for more information.

Thanks Ivan. When I do this (and I have), I have multiple inboxes; one for each email. What I am looking for is a way to merge all the various emails so that they arrive in a single inbox. This also would make my .pst situation cleaner. Because I have so many emails, I have that many .pst files. It will be a nightmare if I ever have to use the backups. Much easier if everything would be in one .pst. I had this in 2016 but can't for the life of me figure it out here aside from what I already mentioned above that at some point if I do it right it would as "use a new .pst or existing .pst". Can you help with that part of it?

Thank you Ivan. All good on that now. If only I could stop OneDrive from perpetuatually syncing and dumping my files now I might not hate 365. Their help desk has not helped. They have unlinked and delinked a number of times and then it starts again. This interferes with my ability to use files. It won’t let me delete while OneDrive is syncing. Any thoughts?

Note that you may not be able to combine all types of e-mail accounts.

If you are running the new Outlook, maybe this functionality isn't supported yet.
