Unable to Edit Items on Calendar on iPhone iOS 17

Prior to upgrading my iPhone to iOS 17, I was able to add events to a shared calendar (outlook email account) with my husband without issue. After upgrading to iOS 17, all events on my calendar on my iPhone are un-editable. The only thing I can do is indicate accept, maybe, or decline. The invitation shows as being sent from my husband and me as the invitee, even though I can create the event on my iPhone, iPad, or Laptop. I have logged into my online account on my laptop and am able to edit/modify the events just fine, but don't see the similar experience as the event coming from a "third party" that I'd need to accept. My iPad is not on iOS 17 and I can create/modify events without issue. I am logged in with the same Apple ID and Outlook account on all devices. I have also made sure my contact card on my iPhone has the address I use for my email and we've verified I have "edit" permissions on this calendar. I've tried removing the account, rebooting my phone, re-adding, etc. multiple times and nothing works. Apple indicated this is not their issue, but a Microsoft issue. What can I do to resolve this issue?

This has been bugging us for a while now too. I can confirm that with a shared Outlook calendar, if my wife adds an event to that calendar from her iPhone (iOS 17.1) it immediately appears as if I invited her to the event, and she only has the options to accept/maybe/decline the event. She cannot remove it.

First of all, I am having the exact same issue. The fact that it works on prior versions of iOS makes it feel like an regression there.

Did Apple say what the Outlook service was doing wrong?

I have the same issue with the family calendar. This is a shared calendar that is editable for every member in the family, on every device, except on iPhone iOS 17.1.1. This always worked across all devices.

I'm open for solutions, even work-a-rounds (google, icloud) if this is not fixed.
