I am having the same problem, I can send one email and it shows up in the sent folder, but it’s not actually sent, then I can send another email to the very same recipient four hours later, and that one goes through. This is becoming a real big problem because it involves our billing process. This is a new phenomenon that started a towards the end of September 2023.
recipients are randomly not receiving my Outlook emails
Greetings,
I have discovered that occasionally some recipients are not receiving my Outlook emails. I can't discern any pattern as to why certain emails are not going through. The emails in question show up in my Sent folder, but the recipient cannot find them in their inbox or spam folder. These are not large group emails; they are either individual emails or emails sent to groups of 10 or fewer people. Some of the recipients who are not receiving my emails are people who have emailed me previously, and who have previously received emails successfully from me. Some of them go through, and some of them don't. Some have attachments, some don't. Sometimes I get a rejection notice, sometimes I don't. I am wondering if there is any setting on my Outlook account that would cause my emails to be flagged or rejected by the recipient's account.
Thank you.

2024-05-15T10:57:45+00:00 This seems to be a serious issue and Microsoft needs to solve it as soon as possible.
After spending hours talking to Microsoft support and testing everything, we found out that this is the problem:
The emails are shown in the sent folders as it should be.
We did a test called ‘’Message trace’’, and this test can’t find the emails which we reported not received by the recipient, as if the emails were not sent at all from our mailbox (This is the strange bit, as the trace is showing that you didn’t even send that email).
The advisor has no clue how is this possible, and this has been happening several times lately. It will be very confusing to everyone to go into this process with Microsoft, so I hope this summary will get Microsoft attention and that they tackle this issue as soon as possible!
I told the advisor to check with his supervisor, he closed the case instead!
Very disappointing from a company like Microsoft.

2024-05-01T23:26:25+00:00 Is Microsoft anywhere to be seen? The lack of service is unbelievable. I thought the idea of paying annual subscription was to actually get service when you need it, but I can't even find a phone number to call for help.
If anyone has a facebook, twitter account, may be worth while posting issue there; then they might do something about it.

2023-12-05T11:07:45+00:00 I have the same problem.
Randomly, emails sent from Outlook (2021) are not received by the recipients with no error messages being returned. It seems that the problem occurs most frequently when the sent emails have attachments. (emails with no attachments get through most of the time). There is no pattern to the recipients email addresses/servers.
Emails (with/without attachments) sent to the same recipients directly from the ISPs webmail site go through perfectly. It really does look like a problem caused by the combination of the specific internet connection/MS Outlook's settings/ISP email server.
Was anything established from the investigations above?

2024-05-01T19:37:11+00:00 I have been having the same problem with customers randomly not receiving emails. It has sometimes even happened in an email chain. It happens to many customers, sometimes only missing one other times missing many but then receiving ones after the missing messages. I have not seen where anyone has proposed a remedy yet. This can not keep going on.
