Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
from my personal experience, you can start by doing the following
- When you receive an email that you consider as an ad, mark it as spam or phishing. This helps Outlook's filters learn and categorize similar messages in the future.
- you can Use Outlook rules to automatically move emails from certain senders or with specific keywords to the junk or spam folder. You can set up rules in the Outlook settings.
- Check your email provider's settings for any built-in filters or spam protection. Adjust these settings to a higher level if available.
-If the ads are from legitimate sources, look for an unsubscribe link usually found at the bottom of the email. Clicking on it should remove you from their mailing list.
- Ensure your computer has up-to-date security software. Sometimes, these tools can help filter out unwanted emails.
note : Remember to regularly review your spam or junk folder to rescue any legitimate emails that might have been wrongly classified so you wont end up missing out on important informations
