How do I get rid of "This Computer Only" on Outlook Calendar on personal computer

I have a gmail account, and I use Outlook for email and calendar on an iPhone, iPad, and Windows personal computer. I have an O365 account, and I subscribe to my Google calendar from Outlook.

When I add calendar events from my iPhone or iPad, it shows up on all 3 devices. When I add calendar events from my personal computer, it only adds them to the personal computer version of my calendar and not the iPad, iPhone or even my google calendar for that matter. How do I change the setting so that calendar events created on my personal computer are "pushed" to Google and subsequently the other devices too? I recognize that the Outlook Calendar says "This Computer Only"...how do I change it?

This doesn't really address the problem, or outline the solution.
I've got the same issue. I don't use Google Calendar. I don't use Gmail. I use Google for my own e-mail box. And yet Outlook sends certain calendar invites (usually external ones -- again, not ones that I've set up on Google Calendar, but ones that have been sent me using an .ics file) to the "This Computer Only" box (which I never set up) which in turn doesn't show up on my Outlook calendar. I've missed multiple meetings because of this bug in Outlook, which really should be fixed.
I'm concerned that if I delete the "This Computer Only" box I'll lose all calendar invites sent my way.
This is a longstanding bug that Microsoft really should fix in Outlook and not blame Outlook users for.

I had the same problem. The solution is in a YT video labeled 'How To Sync Google Calendar with Outlook' of the account Guide Tech.

In short, here are the steps:

    1. On browser, log in to www.calendar.google.com
    2. You will see My Calendar column on the left -> click on the triple-dot icon -> click Setting and Sharing -> Scroll all the way down until you see Integrate Calendar, you will see a section called Secret address in iCal format -> click on the copy icon to copy the link
    3. Go to Outlook app on your computer -> Calendar -> You will see My Calendar column on the left (not the one labelling This computer only) -> right click -> choose Add calendar -> choose From Internet -> paste the copied link -> click ok and you are done!

Basically, you will only use the calendar integrated from Google, so under My Calendar on the left, you should only tick the box labeled with your Gmail account, ignore the one labeled This computer only and do not add anything to it, as it will not be synced across your devices.

Yep I have exactly the same issue, somehow when I work for an organisation and they deploy an O365 Licence I never have this issue. However when I rely on my own Family O365 licence when I am not employed, I cant get Calendars working. It's to the point now that I have to physically look at my calendar first thing in the morning on my PC to check if I have appoitments or calls.....in 2024 that's really not what we expect is it.

I have a follow up question.....Would moving to Android fix this issue ?

    Hi

I'm AnnaThomas and I'd happily help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

The reason why your Outlook calendar on your personal computer says “This Computer Only” is because you have added your Gmail account as an IMAP account in Outlook. IMAP accounts can only sync email messages, not calendars or contacts. Therefore, any calendar events that you create on your personal computer will not sync with your Google Calendar or other devices . To fix this problem, you need to remove your Gmail account from Outlook and add it again as a Google account. This way, you can sync your email, calendar, and contacts between Outlook and Google

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    AnnaThomas

Thank you, Anna. How do I set up the account as a Google account? I can only get it to do it as IMAP.
