Turn on autocorrect in NEW Outlook

I've switched to the new version of Outlook but autocorrect isn't on and I can't work out how to turn it on. There is no 'file' option in the new version of Outlook which is where it used to be in previous versions.

Not having AutoCorrect in one of the most widely used mail apps is shocking quite honestly.

It makes absolutely zero sense. I'm highly annoyed as my company requires us to use Outlook.

I find this beyond puzzling, why an extremely helpful and time-saving autocorrect feature that was already part of the program be completely eliminated and changed to a spellcheck editor to be completed afterwards. And it is only able to be turned on in individual new emails and not able to be applied globally to all new emails? That is even worse. Not only were no improvements made, it is functionally moving backwards.

In my office we use SEVERAL acronyms on a regular basis. Having the autocorrect feature capitalize these and correct common misspellings is a big gain for productivity. I had hoped that this feature would be available when I chose to sync my Microsoft 365 settings, thus using the same autocorrect list from word. I do hope this feature will be revived.

    Thank you

I agree, this is a very basic error in engineering the new program that is really annoying and I will also be going back to the old Outlook. I fail to understand how anyone could think that taking a working dynamic editor out of the new version makes any sense whatsoever. Perhaps MS should stop outsourcing their design and engineering and go back to quality in their products.
