New Outlook Contacts not syncing with icloud

Contacts entered in or edited in my icloud contacts through new outlook DO NOT sync with icloud, phone, or old outlook.

Contacts entered in or edited in my icloud contacts thorugh old outlook DO sync with icloud, iphone, old outolook, but not new outlook.

Contacts entered in or edited in my icloud contacts through icloud DO sync with icloud, iphone, old outlook, but not new oulook.

Contacts entered in or edited in my icloud contactis through iphone DO sync wiht icloud, iphone, old outlook, but not new outlook.

Any ideas why new outlook is not syncing any contact info entered on my pc using my icloud for windows new outlook app? I don't recall every entering contact information through new outlook until recently so not sure that it ever synced.

    Thanks for the reply and sharing the details. Sorry for the late response.

    For this case, we encourage you to submit feedback to our Outlook support team for including the iCalendar for syncing on New Outlook. New Outlook is still on Preview release and your suggestion about the improvements for this platform is highly appreciated.

    Hello Kathy. Yes, my email account with iCloud contacts was set up as IMAP on New Outlook. When entering or editing contact info on New Outlook it will not sync to the iCloud and therefore not with my iPhone. Interestingly if I use the Old Outlook to enter or edit contact info it will sync to iCloud and iPhone. Thank you.

    We understand that you are trying sync contacts on iCloud service from other devices to your iCloud. As New Outlook is still on Preview release, you may send a feature request if the feature or function for Outlook is not yet available. As per support article, third-party accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo!, iCloud, and other third-party accounts connecting through IMAP. Link: Getting started with the new Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support

    • Can we confirm if your email account with iCloud contacts was set up as iCloud or IMAP on New Outlook?

    For the Classic Outlook or Old Outlook, you may install app for iCloud Set up for automatic syncing - Set up iCloud Mail, Contacts, and Calendar in Outlook on your Windows computer - Apple Support.

    As the New Outlook supports, Exchange and IMAP set up, if you have tried iCloud and IMAP and the iCloud contacts and calendars will not sync.
