    De Paul -

    Four thoughts:

1.) Thanks for making it clear that "new" Outlook handling of email signatures has a new "design". I had been scratching my head trying to figure out why things stopped working with the last update. What I really want to know is how the "design" is different so I can move files around or otherwise fix what you've broken with your update.

2.) Why on earth would you release a "new" version of Outlook that failed to include a provision to automatically migrate "old" signatures to the "new" Outlook? Are signatures not considered core functionality now? Have they been deprecated? In my judgement this is an extremely user-unfriendly choice that disregards and disrespects those of us who have used Outlook since forever and who have made extensive use of its ability to manage multiple email accounts and multiple email signatures. Why send me on a treasure hunt to figure out why all my old stuff suddently doesn't work because of your update?

3.) Your suggested fix is similarly offensive to me as a user, as it presupposes that I would or even could still have access to "old" Outlook along with "new" Outlook within the same clipboard-accessible context. Have you not thought that solution through, or what? Plus, that would leave a junked-up mess in the signature folders that would be extremely hard to parse and understand going forward.

4.) As a paying customer of long standing, may I respectfully suggest that you rattle some chains around there and get someones to FIX THIS ASAP AND RETROACTIVELY?

    Thank you - Rich

While searching for the reason why my multiple signatures do not show up in Outlook 2021 (although they did before the last Office update), I came across this thread. An interesting yet typically unhelpful response from Microsoft "helpers".

Double-checking that I had indeed unchecked the "Your settings will be stored in the cloud" box under Options, I proceeded to create a new signature to at least get 1 entry in the signatures box. Surprise, surprise, it did show up in the exact same Signatures sub-directory where all my old sigs are stored.

However, that signature is now labelled with the name of my primary email account, which is not helpful at all. Given that I use Outlook only because of its ability to provide a common mailbox for more than one address, should I find that my signatures are tied to and useable for only 1 address at a time, then Outlook is gone. After using Office since 1990, and Mail since 1991 . . .

May I strongly suggest that the MS Office Dev Team fix their screw-up fast. Thunderbird and LibreOffice are looking better every day. And don't think corporate Office users aren't making the same complaints to their IT teams.

By the way, the MS Quality Control process may need to be revamped. Or the members thereof "reassigned" away from any customer-facing assgnments.

If the new signatures are stored in the same location, why is it that I can create a new signature in Outlook, navigate to C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures, but then I don't find any files for the newly created signature? The new signature works in Outlook but doesn't appear to be stored in this location.

For years I have used scripts to automate email signature deployment throughout my fleet, but the latest version of Outlook has completely broken my scripts. We've been forced to use CodeTwo for email signature deployment which will cost us thousands each year. CodeTwo is a great tool, but it pains me that I'm now paying ~$1.50 per month per user for a service that had been working flawlessly for us for years at no cost to the company other than the few hours I had spent creating and making adjustments to my scripts.

this is the path of the old

    1. Open Outlook on your computer and create your Mailbox.
    2. Now Open Run on your computer by clicking on the Windows + R keys.
    3. Type in %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures.
    4. This opens the Signatures folder.

but where is the new path?

    thx
