Completely agree - switched to the new Outlook yesterday and I've been searching for the functionality of dragging to SharePoint. Cannot believe this has been removed!
Will this be rolled out in a future release?

The new Outlook does not support the drag and drop emails from Outlook to SharePoint. Our employees do this every day, and I am sure that all organizations that use SharePoint require this functionality. This has to be resolved before Outlook is released.
What other options exist to get an email from the New Outlook into SharePoint as quickly and easily as is done now with the Classic Outlook?

Just following up on this question. The New Outlook as added the ability to save the attachments of emails to OneDrive, but not the entire email. The ability to save to SharePoint has not been added.
I am certain that many organisations, like ours, move emails from Outlook to SharePoint as they are vital records for employees to be able to search through Office 365.
There is currently no option to open emails that have been previously saved to SharePoint in the New Outlook as .eml or .msg files are not recognised.
Is there a plan for integration between New Outlook and SharePoint? This is absolutely required for those organisations that use SharePoint as their records repository.
We are in a fortunate position in that we have AvePoint Office Connect, but it is not as simple as being able to drag and drop emails from Outlook into SharePoint.
This is a huge issue for us as well. Can anyone confirm if it's actually on the roadmap to be built into New Outlook eventually? This seems like a big miss.
The only way I was able to drag my email into SharePoint is dragging the email into a folder within File Explorer, a pop-up screen will show in the top right corner of your outlook asking if you want to "Keep" or "Delete" the email. Select "Keep" and the email will appear in the folder and from there you can drag your email into SharePoint.
Has there been any update on this functionality/feature?
We, too, use drag and drop to sharepoint from outlook for both emails and attachments.
