    Hello Sue,

Thank you for posting here in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are having trouble sending emails from your Outlook account on your Apple MacBook. This issue may be caused by incorrect server settings or a problem with your internet connection. For me to have better view of your concern, I'd like to confirm few details, this is for me to provide you the proper resolution also for your concern:

    • What application are you using in trying to send the email? Is it through the Apple's built-in mail app or through the Outlook application?
    • Is it specific recipients that you are trying send emails has the issue or all of the recipients?
    • What email configuration did you use? Is it POP, IMAP, or Exchange?

To resolve this issue, please try the following steps:

    1. Make sure to install any updates for your Mac device.
    2. Try to remove and re-add the account on your Mac device.
    3. You may try to update your email account configuration on your Mac device. If you are using an IMAP configuration, you may need to use this configuration:
    IMAP server outlook.office365.com
    IMAP port 993
    IMAP encryption TLS
    SMTP server name smtp-mail.outlook.com
    SMTP port 587
    SMTP encryption STARTTLS

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please provide me those details I have asked above, this is for me to provide you the right resolution for your concern.

    Regards,

    Arquel C.
