Hello, I don’t feel that a person should have to pay a third party to be a able to do this. Has outlook fixed this issue yet, because it seems a bit archaic. The first bit of advice wasn’t anything like instructed, although I managed to figure how to do it. It still only gave me the list of contacts that I manually entered previously. I have 2400 email contacts that I need to make to a list, it’s absurd to assume people have the time to manually do this. Some further advise or a resolution to this issue would be appreciated.
How can i download a list of all people emailed when none have been saved as contacts
I'm in New Outlook.
The button to revert to old Outlook has disappeared from my app.
There does not seem to be an option to download a list of those people I've emailed.
I cannot sort and filter sent mail by individual - that feature has gone!!
None of the people I've emailed have been saved to my contacts list so I'm trying to download a file of all those people I've emailed.
Any ideas?

2024-01-24T17:41:11+00:00 Its not that straightforward but it's possible.
>Export to a file
>>Export your entire inbox to a .csv in a folder you can find
>>>Open Excel / .CSV file
Steps
- Select all columns and create filters
- Delete email body column (it will be creating too much space/is not necessary to keep for this)
- Filter column "From: (Address)"
- Hide blanks
- Text filter > contains > "@"
At this time all of your rows should be filtered to show email addresses that have sent something to you.
Continue to clean the data as you see fit. Recommend removing all columns except "From: (Name)" and "From: (Address)".
After deleting columns but those two, select both and remove duplicates. It reduced my file from 106,000 line items to about 1300.
Good luck!

Wonderful. Thank you. I used same method with a small change...
File >> open and export >> import/export >> export to a file >> csv >> select inbox folder >> (choose a path and file name) >> (select the checkbox) >> map custom fileds >> (on the right hand side, delete everything except: From name)
click OK
all the names of people who sent me an email gets exported to a csv. Depending on the folder you selected, and mapping you retained, you can export different pieces of info

2023-07-29T14:33:29+00:00 Hi MaxBeck1,
Thanks for contacting us, I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with exporting a list of all people you've emailed in Outlook. I know how important it is to keep track of your contacts and communication history.
Unfortunately, it seems that the new Outlook does not have a built-in feature to export a list of all people you've emailed, unless they are saved as contacts. However, there are some possible workarounds that you can try to get the list you want. Here are some of the options you can try:
- Use the Outlook web app instead of the desktop app. The Outlook web app has a feature to export your contacts as a CSV file, which includes the email addresses of people you've emailed. To do this, go to the Outlook web app and sign in with your account. Then, click on the People icon at the bottom left corner of the page. Next, click on Manage > Export contacts and choose All contacts or a specific folder. Then, click Export and save the CSV file to your computer.
- Use a third-party tool or add-in to extract the email addresses from your sent items folder. There are some tools or add-ins that can scan your Outlook folders and extract the email addresses of the recipients or senders. For example, you can try using Email Address Collector, which is a paid tool that can export email addresses from any Outlook folder or email account. You can also try using Email Address Extractor, which is a free add-in that can export email addresses from your selected emails or folders.
- Use a VBA macro to export the email addresses from your sent items folder. If you are familiar with VBA programming, you can write a macro that can loop through your sent items folder and copy the email addresses of the recipients to an Excel file. You can find some examples of such macros online, such as this one or this one. However, be careful when using macros, as they may contain malicious code or cause errors in your Outlook.
I hope these steps help you get the list of all people you've emailed in Outlook.
Regards, Sola.

2024-01-19T01:41:08+00:00 Hey Mandy, yeah I completely agree. I'm having the same issue as you. Just thought I'd also mention that the 'shollybee' person doesn't work for Microsoft, so they won't be able to communicate with Microsoft internally to get answers sadly. Hopefully you managed to sort your issue out, I'm off to do the same thing now! Wish me luck 😅
