Dear Joatco,
Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.
Based on your description, I understand that you have a query "Windows Security pop up in Microsoft Outlook keeps popping up and will not go away".
Basically, this issue might be caused by numerous reasons includes; when outlook is configured to prompt you for credentials, Incorrect password cached in credential storage, Required Authentication Settings for outgoing server and incoming server, Outlook Anywhere is not configured to use NTLM Authentication, Corrupt Outlook profile, Slow or unstable network connection, Antivirus programs or Shared calendars.
This may occur also if the Logon network security setting on the Security tab of the Microsoft Exchange dialog box is set to a value other than Anonymous Authentication. Refer to Outlook continually prompts for password when you try to connect to Microsoft 365 - Outlook | Microsoft Learn.
If the issue persists, please help us in isolating the issue by considering the following information:
- What version of Outlook are you using? See What version of Outlook do I have? (microsoft.com)
- Have you tried clearing Password from Outlook Credential Manager? Open Control Panel > Credential Manager > Click the Windows Credentials Icon > Remove all Outlook Credentials shown in this window (MS.Outlook.15:username@domain.***) > Open Outlook, Type in your password, click remember my password. Refer to Outlook prompts for credentials - Outlook | Microsoft Learn.
- Have you tried disconnecting all the accounts > Start > Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School > Disconnected accounts that are not used as a log in to the machine.
- Moreover, could you please try using the Outlook keeps asking for my password diagnostic to troubleshoot issues in which Outlook continually prompts for a password?
