What's difference between a External email and a internal system-generated email in Outlook?

I would like to know if there is a hard difference between external emails and internal system generated emails.

So when i code for example

if (email.system_generated == false) {

not systemgenerated, keep

{

else {

system generated, so throw in trash

}

but i can't find a specific thing that tells me if it's system generated or just an email from someone else.
