Hello, I have been trying to regain access to my Outlook email and when I get to the part of the forum where I have to fill in recent contacts, I get an error message that states in red "Enter a valid email address", but these ARE valid email addresses and I can't get past this part of the forum. Very frustrating as I managed to do this in my last forum. It would be nice if Microsoft hired real people to talk to rather than have to deal with automated systems for answers.

No, I didn't know of, thank you I will check that out, but in the meantime, my password is not the issue so much as the automated service still denying my entry. The main part of the forum is the emails that stumps me, because as I said I don't use them hardly enough to remember any, but thanks, I will keep plugging away and try the link you gave me.

Microsoft support can't help you reset your password or security information - that would make it too easy for hackers to steal accounts.
You get to the part of the recovery form where it asks for people you recently sent mail to and it doesn't accept the addresses?
When did you last log into the account? If more than a year ago, the recovery form may not work because the mailbox is purged.
What happened that you need to regain access?
