Having no logoff option seems crazy, considering that I have to use a password to log on. Just clicking X on the page to exit implies to me that my email account remains open. What is the sense in that? Why even bother having a log-on password? This is counter-intuitive and frankly makes me worry about the security of my email account. Would not recommend!

I couldn't figure out how to log out but I was able to "remove" my account from the app effectively logging me out of it.

    Here is what I did:

    • Hover over your email/account name on the left above "Inbox"
    • Click the 3 dots
    • Click Manage Account
    • In Accounts > Email Accounts click Manage
    • Click Remove

This is very problematic! I'm logged in on an office I only have available until tomorrow. II have tried quitting and restarting the app, but it automatically opens my email for everyone to see. Will follow to see if someone finds a solution

    Hi Guys,

Even worse, i've been sat at my computer in the office, the new outlook suddenly pops up on screen, without me touching anything, and hey presto, i'm logged in with all my emails on display. If I wasn't sat at my desk anyone could access anything.......

I agree it's crazy. It is less secure, just shutting down the app.
maybe they can't track you as efficiently if you sign out of the account.
And if someone else uses your computer you can't stop them seeing your email. If they have to log in with a separate profile that is just wasting unnecessary resources and disk space being used. But obviously it allows them to track each user easily without getting them mixed up if using the same profile to log in.
