Any idea on how to solve this? Although it sounds silly, this is extremely frustrating. Also cant find Quick Access toolbar... use that for almost everything!

    Kerry,

Thank you for your reply. I understand that once a window is opened, you can click on the Maximize square to make the window full screen. My issue is that every other Microsoft (and almost every other application) will remember the position of the windows once set. With the current Outlook client, if I open an email and maximize the window, all subsequent emails I open will open in a maximized window (I don't have to click Maximize every email opened). With the new Outlook client, every email opens in a Restored Down window and you have to maximize the window each time.
I assume this is a known issue with the new Outlook client, just need someone to confirm and if so, what's the eta to correct it.

Hope that helps clarify, I am surprised this has not been mentioned previously as it happens to everyone in our Organization who tries the new Outlook client.

    Thanks,

    Keith

    Hi Keith

I think I may have found the solution to this.

I agree it is not helpful or inclusive (for accessibility and for those who have enhanced visual needs. Microsoft need to work on this default.

New emails kept opening in a small square about the size of a 50 pence piece for me. No matter when i clicked maximize then either sent the message or closed it and opened new message again it would default to the small square.

If you open the mail, then using cursor in the corners of the window stretch it out to full screen, then click maximise.

Close the window, and open. This should now default to full window

    Hope this helps

Any chance of a solution Microsoft? This is incredibly annoying and means I have to return to 'old Outlook' however you are now introducing features that this doesn't support. Such a basic issue and one that really should not have been there on release, let alone take months to sort out.

I have tried the last suggestion and all the others in the thread many times. The outcome is the same, the new outlook will not automatically open in full screen mode

Following and would appreciate an answer. Should be an Option once set remains as the default for my profile. It's a pain to have to double click or scroll to the maximize tab every time I want to read an email. Very often, I receive email with embedded screenshots, or formatting that is not correct in the reduced default view.
