Legit, if I cannot speak with Microsoft on this matter, I am moving away from Outlook. I can't find any solutions to why random emails keep disappearing! I can't locate any solutions online, I can't speak to anyone!!!
Seriously! This is messed up!

Outlook is randomly auto deleting emails. Emails from sources I trust. It is happening just frequently enough that is annoying and bothersome. It doesn't place the email in Junk....just gone...forever? It appears that way to me. I'm running Outlook on a windows 10, windows 11, and my phone Samsung s22. Office 365 home edition.

I am having the same issue - big problem
Perhaps I am not explaining the issue correctly. Randomly, I will receive emails from various people/companies and I will notice the email first on my Outlook App on my Android phone. I will click on it, then it will simply disappear...from all my connected devices. It is really random and as I said it is occurring at a rate that is unacceptable. To the point I am considering moving to a new email client.
The don't delete after exiting option is shown as clicked off as per your instructions. I did not modify this. Something else is happening.
Perhaps my security tolerance for viruses needs to be adjusted.
I have the same issue. Customer called me to say why didn't I respond to their email, they want to place an order.
I didn't get the email. We tested email while on the phone.
Email briefly displayed in my Inbox, maybe 1 second, then disappeared. Can't find it anywhere.
We repeated this process a several times. Couldn't believe my eyes. Email was from a major government department domain.
I then emailed customer test message, they replied and it came through OK.
Checked email on the server, using RoundCube mail client. Emails they had sent were all there.
Checked email on Outlook on my Android phone (IMAP). Email there also.
Checked email on another PC Outlook 365 - IMAP. Emails all there.
I'm wondering if there was something in customers' original emails that caused Outlook (office business 365) to falsely delete it. Or is it that Outlook on Android IMAP messed with Outlook client on my desktop.
Setup clean PC, installed Outlook 365, POP, synched with email server and emails downloaded from server, except the missing purchase order request emails! (But did get the reply to my test email). It is appears specific in the email Outlook decided to vanish.
The two Outlook clients causing problems, Type is set to POP/SMTP on one, the other is Microsoft Exchange.
Looks like a Microsoft 365 Outlook client problem and not some enormous mutant star goat eating my emails.
Next customer i talked to, said they have seen the same thing but haven't figured out what the problem is (Technology Manager person).
We should be able to replicate this issue reliably, if Microsoft care to rectify it, welcome to contact me.
I've now found that I'm having the same problem. It keeps randomly deleting emails from 1 sender at a time.
The first time I noticed it was the last emails for a day and a half for one client. Then today it lost the emails for the last 3 weeks from another customer.
The deleted emails can't be seen in the inbox, sent items or deleted files. They literally disappear. I quickly checked my phone, saw one of the messages was still there, so clicked it and got "error loading message", and then the email disappeared.
This could potentially cause a huge problem for us.
