doesn't work

Hello, I've been having this issue since I received the S24 Ultra. All notifications are on, I've reset each email account, cleared the cache multiple times, the app is not restricted from using battery and data at all, there's no sync settings for the app that I can find and the app is up to date. And I've tried whatever else I've found to try and resolve my issue. After a period time, not sure the exact amount, I stop receiving email notifications in real time. If I pick up the phone, I need to open the Outlook app to get new emails. Once I open the app, all the emails from the last "session" are there and then the ones populate. I can't have this issue, I need to be notified about a new email the second it's received. I don't have this problem on my Note 20 Ultra and didn't have the issue on my previous S20 I used for a work cell phone. Is it a known issue with the app? Phone? Some buried setting I haven't found? Again, I've tried everything from installing and reinstalling, resetting, looking at all notifications settings, there's no sync setting, restarting the phone, restarting the accounts in the app, no battery usage restrictions, no data use restrictions, nothing hindering the apps ability to send me an email notification in real time that I can tell. Please, someone help.

2024-04-25T15:57:19+00:00 I too have a very similar issue, the only difference being that the emails seem to be received but with no notifications (I.e if I open Outlook the emails are there)
This only started after the latest firmware update yesterday or the day before.
I have cleared cache, checked notification settings in the app as well as in the settings. I have even checked the battery saver settings. Everything is as it needs to be yet I still get no notifications, either when the phone screen is on or off.
Basically all was fine until the latest Samsung firmware update.

2024-04-11T16:51:00+00:00 Hi Kyle,
Thanks for writing us here in Microsoft Community.
I understand you're having trouble with receiving emails notifications on your Samsung phone real-time. I learn that you have tried some troubleshooting steps and seems that the issue still persists. I expanded my research and came across various forums and it appears like this issue is only not limited to Outlook app on the latest Samsung S24 series but also on third-party other emails apps.
I also manage to check my resources and it appears like there is no reported issue with Outlook app on mobile version not being able to receive email notifications as of this writing. I tried to check on my android phone as well, tried changing my network both Wi-Fi and mobile data, but it seems I can receive timely email notification just fine. For transparency, I'm running the version 4.2413.0 (42413815) of Outlook. Since this is working before on your other phone models and also in my end, it's possible that the issue could be device specific only.
We'll try to provide some steps for you to see if this would help address the issue. If in case not, I suggest you post this concern to Samsung Community, or contact Samsung Support for further assistance.
- Restart your phone:
- Press and hold the power button on your Samsung Galaxy S24.
- Tap on the Restart option.
- Clear Email App Cache: Stored cache can sometimes cause app malfunctions.
- Open Settings.
- Navigate to Apps.
- Find and select Outlook.
- Select Storage.
- Tap on Clear Cache.
- Check Do Not Disturb. Do Not Disturb mode can silence notifications.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the notification panel.
- Tap on ‘Do Not Disturb’ to turn it off.
- Reset App Preferences: Resetting your app preferences can help address conflicts between apps.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap on Apps.
- Tap on More (three dots at the top-right corner).
- Tap on Reset App Preferences.
- Update Galaxy S24 Software. Outdated software can cause app issues.
- Open your phone’s settings.
- Scroll down and tap on Software update.
- Tap on Download and install.
- If an update is available, follow the prompts to install it.
- Your phone will restart to complete the update process.
- Factory Reset your phone: A factory reset can resolve major issues. Don't forget to back up your data first before you proceed.
- Back up all important data on your phone as it will be deleted in the process.
- Then open your phone’s Settings.
- Scroll down and select on General management.
- Select Reset.
- Select Factory data reset.
- Scroll down and tap on Reset.
- If ask to enter your PIN, password, or pattern, please type in.
- Tap on Delete all.
If the issue still persists, you can contact Samsung Support for further help. You can also submit feedback to Microsoft developers through the app itself so they can also look into it. Check this article for reference: Get in-app help for Outlook for iOS and Android - Microsoft Support
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have question or clarifications and I would be more than happy to address it on my next response.
Sincerely,
