I keep my calendar and contacts on Outlook.com and they sync there when using classic Outlook because it uses an Exchange account. See https://www.slipstick.com/outlookcom/sync-calendar-contacts-using-outlook-com/ . Otherwise, see this article: https://www.slipstick.com/outlook/sync-outlook/sync-google-calendar-outlook/ . These web pages are from a well-known Office MVP and are perfectly safe.
Synchronising Outlook calendars between computers. Emails synchronise but calendars don't. Using Office 365 and windows 10. Any ideas?

2024-04-21T03:37:04+00:00 Thanks Brian,
Yes you nailed it.
I am using IMAP and using gmail addresses.
Any ideas about a third-party provider?
Thanks,
Peter

2024-04-21T03:03:42+00:00 Hi. I'm Brian and I'll try to help.
Dighi forgot to ask you if you use an IMAP account. I wager that's what you use. IMAP is not able to sync non-mail data. In order to get your non-mail folders like Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and so on to sync, you need to use either an Exchange mailbox such as Outlook.com provides, or a third-party, usually paid, tool that can sync that data.
Who is your mail provider - that is, what follows the @ in your address - and are you using IMAP for the account type?

2024-04-20T05:21:20+00:00 Hello Peter679,
I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.
If your Outlook calendars are not synchronizing between computers while using Office 365 and Windows 10, here are a few straightforward steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Check Calendar Settings: Ensure that the calendar you are trying to sync is part of your Office 365 account and not a local or separate calendar not associated with your account.
- Verify Internet Connection: Make sure both computers have a stable internet connection, as a poor connection can affect synchronization.
- Update Outlook and Windows: Ensure both Outlook and Windows are up to date on all computers. Go to **Settings** > **Update & Security** > **Windows Update** and check for updates.
- Restart Outlook: Sometimes, simply restarting the Outlook application can help resolve synchronization issues.
- Re-add Your Account: Remove your Office 365 account from Outlook and add it again. This can help reset the connection and start a fresh sync. To do this, go to **File** > **Account Settings** > **Manage Profiles** > **Email Accounts**, select your account, and click **Remove**. Then add it back again using the **New** button.
- Check Sync Settings: In Outlook, go to **File** > **Account Settings** > **Account Settings**, click on your account, then click **Change** > **More Settings** > **Advanced**. Make sure the settings for syncing calendars are correctly configured.
- Office 365 Admin Settings: If you have admin access to the Office 365 account, check if there are any policies or settings that might be restricting calendar sync across devices.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards, Ibhadighi
