How to stop Outlook Calendar Spam please!

This topic was covered back in 2016 but it isn’t fitting the updated options in Outlook.

I’ve had to disable my account connected to the Calendar in an effort to stop it.

I’m using an iPhone. 11. Apple was helpful in blocking but not solving the problem. It’s an Outlook problem.

I’ve blocked and deleted the culprit from Junk, but I think it is just the tip of the iceburg since a dozen in a similar format have flood in..

****There should be a choice to stop Junk emails from accessing the Calendar but I can’t see it!!***

The only options are specific to airlines, car rental and hotels.

Please help! I need my Calendar but the Spammers are drowning me and blocking all with all day meetings!

Thanks!

Kathy this is a very disappointing and not uncommon reply from Microsoft. It is less than 2 months old and it does not reflect the actual options available when one follows your instructions explicitly. There is no such place to make such a selection just as reported by the person who asked the original question.

This will soon be a HUGE issue as I am (and naturally I am not the only one) getting inundated with spam meeting invitations from advertisers that appear on my calendar making hundreds of entries.

Microsoft needs to address this asap; please advise as soon as this is fixed.

Thank you so much for your fast reply. I appreciate it

Unfortunately, there does not to be a selection called : Automatically add events to my calendar from email or to select "Only add events to my calendar that I have responded to.” I cannot see that option anywhere.

I seem to have 4 very specific choices that I would like to keep -package deliveries, flight reservations m, hotel reservations, and car rental reservations. Each with a pull down that offers

    • don’t show event summaries in email

-show event summaries in email And on my calendar.

Could you let me know where I can find the option - only find events that I have responded to.

    Thanks!!

** ps it would be a great (better) option to automatically deny any email that lands in junk from having access to anything.

I am with the other people on this thread. There is no choice to "Only add events to my calendar that I have responded to." My only options are to mark as private or deal with package deliveries, flights, hotels and rental cars. Please help, it has become beyond annoying when I open my calendar on my iPhone and it's spammed with junk invites.

I solved the problem for Microsoft.

On my iPhone, I went to settings/calendar/accounts/Outlook

    And DESELECTED calendars

And switched to using Gmail for my primary email. I have not seen Gmail support calendar abuse. I went from 20-40 new entries in my calendar per day to 0. Win.

outlook has become a secondary email to give people I don’t want to worry about, since I now only check it once or twice a week.

there is no such option as ""Automatically add events to my calendar from email" at the location specified in your post.

I am getting 20-30 calendar events per day added to my calendar. How do I disconnect my email from the spam supported by Microsoft.
