    Hello Wayne,

    * I am a Microsoft user like you, providing solutions to community members; I am NOT a Microsoft employee.

Since Cox transitioned email services to Yahoo, you can still use Microsoft Outlook 365 to access your Cox email, but you'll need to update the server settings. Here's how to do it: Important Note: You won't be able to use the old Cox email server settings (pop.cox.net and smtp.cox.net) anymore.

    1. Open Outlook 365: Launch the Outlook application on your computer or access it through the web browser.
    2. Account Settings: On Desktop App: Click on "File" then "Account Settings" followed by "Account Settings" again. On Web App: Click on the gear icon on the top right corner and then "View all Outlook settings". Navigate to "Mail" and then "Sync".
    3. Add Account: Click on "Add Account" and choose "Other" (or "IMAP/POP" depending on your version).
    4. Enter Information: * Account Type: Choose "IMAP" (recommended for keeping emails synced across devices). * Incoming Mail Server: Enter "imap.mail.yahoo.com" (port 993 with SSL encryption required). * Outgoing Mail Server: Enter "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" (port 465 with SSL encryption required). * Username: Enter your full Cox email address ([email address removed]). * Password: You'll need to create a special app password for Outlook in your Yahoo account settings. Here's how: * Go to Yahoo Mail security settings (https://login.yahoo.com/account/security). * Click on "App passwords" and generate a new password specifically for "Outlook".
    5. Verify and Save: Once you've entered all the information, click "Next" to test the connection. If successful, click "Finish" to save the new account settings.

Additional Tips: You might need to delete your old Cox email account from Outlook before adding the new one with Yahoo settings.

    Hope this helps.

If you move your old cox email account to Microsoft 365, do you lose all your emails? I have had this email address for over 30 years. I am not happy at all with the move to Yahoo or the quality of the Yahoo platform. If I have alternatives that will let me keep my email address and all my emails, I'm up for it.

Stephen, thank you for your help. I was only off changing the IMAP and SMTP by not adding "mail".

However, I have a new question, Outlook has added a bulk folder which from what I understand is not an Outlook folder. Everything that is inside the folder has been previously deleted.

Any ideas how to get rid of the folder or empty it?

I went back to the Yahoo mail and I don't see a "bulk" folder

Hello Wayne, I'm sorry but I don't know about the "bulk" folder or how to delete it. Have you tried deleting it like a normal folder? Here's how [https://support.microsoft.com/office/6bb0723a-f39f-4a8d-bb3f-fab5dcc2510a].
