About three months ago, I noticed that I can receive e-mails from Rogers and Yahoo accounts. However, I cannot reply to them. How does one fix this issue?

    Hello Michael,

I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

If you're unable to reply to emails from Rogers or Yahoo accounts using Outlook Exchange, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Error Messages: When you try to reply, note any error messages that appear. These messages can provide clues on what might be wrong.
    2. Update Outlook: Ensure that your Outlook is up to date. Sometimes, software updates can fix bugs related to email functionalities.
      • Go to File > Office Account > Update Options > Update Now.
    3. Check Account Settings: Verify that your outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings are correct. Incorrect settings can prevent emails from being sent.
      • Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
      • Select your account and click Change.
      • Check the settings under Outgoing mail server (SMTP). Make sure they match the ones provided by your organization or email provider.
    4. Disable Add-ins: Sometimes, add-ins can interfere with how Outlook functions. Try disabling them to see if that resolves the issue.
      • Go to File > Options > Add-ins.
      • At the bottom of the window, select COM Add-ins and click Go.
      • Uncheck all the add-ins listed, and click OK.
    5. Check Your Antivirus: Some antivirus software includes email scanning features that might interfere with sending emails. Temporarily disable this feature and see if it helps.
    6. Recreate Your Mail Profile: Corrupt mail profiles can cause issues with sending emails. Creating a new profile might resolve this.
      • Close Outlook and open Control Panel.
      • Go to Mail > Show Profiles.
      • Click Add to create a new profile and follow the prompts to set up your email account again.
    7. If none of these steps work, there may be a more complex issue at play, such as server-side restrictions or configurations that need to be adjusted by your IT team.

These steps should help you identify and potentially fix the issue with replying to emails from Rogers and Yahoo in Outlook Exchange.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards, Ibhadighi
