Outlook not receiving Google Workspace account emails

Just recently we have stopped receiving emails in our outlook desktop application and web app. We are able to send out emails and can see new emails when we log into GMAIL, so we know GMAIL is not the issue.  We have checked our GMAIL settings to ensure POP is disabled and IMAP is enabled.  When checking setting from outlook.com POP is disabled. We have tried to remove and re-install the account from out desktop, but that didn't work either. There are no filtered or blocked addresses either so can say for sure GMAIL is not the issue. Are there any other settings we need to look for in Outlook?

    Thank you for the quick response. Following your instructions and I don't see the option to check/change my existing settings. Once I click on change after selecting my account this is what I see

    Under more settings I get another box

    No where in this menu gives me the option to make the necessary changes

    Base on your description you have set up an IMAP account in outlook desktop and you can't receive new emails from your outlook desktop and web. The issue can be related your incoming server is incorrect (and different from your outgoing server), or the settings such as Use SSL, etc. are not correct or your server side, update application etc.....

    Typically if your IMAP setting are correct and not problem on server side you should recieve emails. IMAP only downloads a message when you click on it so you even cannot see the message in your inbox it can be server side, IMAP setting etc.. And IMAP account download the message from the server .

    However, to better understand the problem and provide a solution, we need more details from you, please provide us with the following information. Thank you. 

    1. Check if your Google Workspace account is properly configured in Outlook. You can do this by going to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > select your Google Workspace account > click Change. Make sure that the incoming mail server is set to imap.gmail.com and the outgoing mail server is set to smtp.gmail.com. Referenece: What are IMAP and POP? - Microsoft Support

    2- First, test the email by sending an email to yourself. If you don't receive it back, then you definitely have a problem.

    Standard non-Microsoft E-mail typically uses two different protocols: an SMTP server for sending/outgoing, and an IMAP or POP3 server for receiving/incoming.

    Sometimes they can be the same server, sometimes they are different. So it may be that your incoming server is incorrect (and different from your outgoing server), or the settings such as Use SSL, etc. are not correct or server side.

    Also make sure the incoming mail is using the right protocol, if your provider only supports POP3, IMAP won't work.

    1. Please set the root folder path for your IMAP account:

    File-> Account Settings-> Account Settings…

    Double click on your IMAP account.

    Button: More Options…

    Tab: Advanced

    Option: Root folder path

    Setting this to**“Inbox”** will do the trick.

    Click OK to close all of the opened dialog boxes and check the issue
