How do you show or hide the paragraph formatting symbols in New Outlook 2023? I can't use the usual options from previous versions (including "old" or standard Outlook 365). There is no option available in the ribbon and the keyboard shortcuts don't do anything. What works in New Outlook?

This is possible but not easy to find anymore. It is no longer located in the settings/options under display menu. You have to create a new message (not from a reply) find the format text tab at the top > Ellipsis > Paragraph > Show All.

There is a keyboard shortcut (CRTL + *) or (CRTL+SHIFT+8), however this does not work on reply messages either. You MUST be in a new message, in the body of the email for either one of these options to work successful.

    On other hand.
I press acidentialy some shortcut, and got it turn on.

And don't know how to turn off in that message ;(.
ctrl+shift+8, or ctrl+* or anything, not work.

Thats a bit disapointing, there are changes in software, and you can't find information were some options migrated. And "Google" not help at all xD. Cause it all leads only to older posts with "ctrl+shift+8" or something like that.

What is "elipsis"?? The simplified ribbon does not show any difference between a reply and a new message .. only

    Image

I believe they have done away with the option completely.

Thank you so much for the detailed reply, @John. Unfortunately, it did not work for me. There is no ellipsis option in the Format text tab, and the keyboard shortcut does not work for me either. I appreciate you trying to help!
