We are using Outlook version 16.77 in the New Look Outlook.

The server details for the emails have been changed by the web hosts but we cannot change the IMAP or SMTP server, how are we to do this?

The accounts were added in new look outlook so I cannot revert to Legacy to fix.

Can someone update THIS MOST IMPORTANT question? Has this been escalated by any chance so it can be corrected by an update?

I saw notifications in outlook - i am happy to have PRIDE theme, i am happy to have features that are likely NICE to have - but these are critical features that are not working. I am not recieveing all email since our webhosting company changed / updated their mail server settings.

I am having gigs of email - and now - what shall i do? Delete and re-Add? I am sorry but this "HELP" is not help but is making fun of us - MS users running MACs. Dear Ilyas = please - when sending such messages - check whether the facts you state and steps you advice are really usable. reading through the "help guide" did just one thing - got me almost an heartattack.

    thank you.

ps. btw this is as much ridiculous as the fact that on mac - you have unified inbox - on Windows - MS native OS - is this feature lacking for ages. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

Thank you for your response Ilyas.

When I am on the Accounts section in the New Outlook view I am unable to update these values as they just display the server settings with no option to update.

Just to confirm, the server settings are for an external web server that hosts my emails for my website.

I'm facing the same issue. I have not options to change the server or port number - they are just displayed grayed out; need to access this to change it to pop3 server and related port; tried this on New Outlook for Mac and after flipping to Legacy version - Legacy version at least lets me see the server and port addresses

    OS - MacOS Sonoma

Dear Sam, I'm sorry to hear about the problem you are having. If you are unable to update the server settings directly from the Accounts section in the New Outlook view on Mac, you might need to use a different approach. Here's a general guide on how to update IMAP and SMTP server settings for an email account in Outlook for Mac: 1. Remove and Re-Add the Email Account: 1) Open Outlook. 2) Go to "Outlook" > "Preferences" > "Accounts." 3) Select the email account for which you want to change server settings. 4) Click the "-" (minus) button to remove the account. 5) Click the "+" (plus) button to add a new account. 6) Enter the updated information, including the new server settings provided by your web host. 2. Use the Outlook Profile Manager: 1) Close Outlook. 2) Open "Terminal" from the "Utilities" folder in "Applications." 3) Run the following command to open the Outlook Profile Manager: /Applications/Microsoft\ Outlook.app/Contents/MacOS/Outlook Profile Manager 4) Create a new profile and set it as the default. 5) Open Outlook with the new profile. 6) Add your email account with the updated server settings. 3. Recreate the Identity: 1) Close Outlook. 2) Navigate to "~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9. Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles." 3) Backup and remove the current profile folder. 4) Restart Outlook and reconfigure your account with the new server settings. I hope this is of use to you, Ilyas

Has anyone tried this and confirmed that it will work? I have 120GB of files in my mail system, and it takes a long time to restore. I don't want to go through the above process and find I am still having the same problem.

Ilyas, thanks for your assistance. There is clearly a flaw in the Outlook for MacOS if one is unable to reconfigure standard settings. Has this been escalated by any chance so it can be corrected by an update?
