How do I delete my hotmail email account?

To delete your Hotmail email while keeping your Microsoft account and Microsoft 365 subscription active, follow these steps:

1. Change Primary Alias:
   • Sign in to your Microsoft account.
   • Go to the "Your info" page.
   • Select "Manage how you sign in to Microsoft".
   • Add a new email as an alias and make it the primary alias.
2. Remove Hotmail Alias:
   • After setting up a new primary alias, you can then remove your Hotmail address. Return to the "Manage how you sign in to Microsoft" page.
   • Click on "Remove" next to your Hotmail email.
3. Check Subscription:
   • Before deleting, ensure that your Microsoft 365 subscription is associated with your new primary alias. Go to your subscription settings and verify your payment information.
4. Close Your Hotmail Email Account:
   • Now, with your new email as the primary alias, you can proceed to close your Hotmail account.

   • Follow the instructions to close the Hotmail account.

Make sure that any services or accounts linked to your Hotmail email are updated to the new email address before you complete the deletion process.

My Hotmail address does not show up in my aliases to delete. I am stumped about how to proceed. I do not want to delete my Gmail alias as primary. Please help. My Hotmail account is subjected to attempts to sign in on a daily basis that are not from me. I do not use Hotmail any longer, and want to delete it to protect myself from these people trying to access my microsoft account. Thanks

look i have ******@hotmail.co.uk as the main one on my computer i have a new accounnt now it is ******@gmail.com i would like the ******@hotmail.co.uk remove but i do not no how to do it can you help me to bdo this thank
