Permission emails from Outlook

I am receiving emails from outlook.com on a daily basis regarding lack of permission for my Gmail account which I have added to my Outlook app on my mobile as well as my outlook on my PC. I have done every I can to rectify this apparent issue with no success. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone, deleted and re-added the Gmail account

I am seeing emails from my Gmail account come through fine everyday so I don't really know what the issue is but still the emails come thick and fast. Tried the chat route with outlook but that ended up with me being forwarded onto Just answer a paid for service. I stopped there because I got stung by them once before!!

Any ideas?

    Hello Jon316,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand how distressing it can be to encounter persistent email issues, especially when you’ve taken multiple steps to resolve them. It’s perplexing when your Gmail account seems to function smoothly, yet you continue to receive those unwelcome messages from Outlook. . Just to set your expectations, we have limited tools to check your account, subscription, and service details in the community. Let me do my best to help you.

    Let me ask you this:

    • May we ask what is the content of the email?
    • Please send screenshot. Please hash/censor the following by using Paint, or any editing program: Full name (First name is fine), Email address, contact number, credit number, Product key, and Full Address in the Community.
    • What changes made prior to the issue?
    • Have you check your gmail webmail?

    Please try the following steps:

    1. Sign in to your Outlook account on your PC.
    2. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select "View all Outlook settings."
    3. Click on "Sync email" under the "Sync settings" section.
    4. Make sure that your Gmail account is listed and that the toggle switch is turned on.
    5. If your Gmail account is not listed, click on "Add account" and follow the prompts to add your Gmail account.
    6. Once your Gmail account is properly synced with your Outlook account, you should no longer receive permission emails.

If you continue to experience issues, please let me know further.

    Regards,
