Hi Roger
Greetings!
Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. I will be happy to help.
I am a user just like you and only trying to advice/ assist in the best possible way to resolve your issue.
While the interface has changed in Outlook New compared to the older versions, increasing the frequency of the send/receive action for new mail is still possible. Here's how to do it:
Method 1: Send/Receive Tab
Click on the Home tab.
In the Send & Receive group, click on the Send/Receive All Folders button. Alternatively, press F9 on your keyboard.
Method 2: Send/Receive Groups
Click on the Send/Receive tab.
Click on Send/Receive Groups.
Select the group you want to modify the frequency for (e.g., "All Accounts").
Click on Define Send/Receive Groups.
Under Setting for group [group name], check the box next to Schedule an automatic send/receive every n minutes.
Enter the desired frequency in minutes (e.g., 15 for every 15 minutes).
Click Close followed by OK to save the changes.
Additional Notes:
The minimum frequency you can set is 1 minute.
Sending and receiving emails too frequently can impact battery life and internet bandwidth. It's recommended to find a balance between staying up-to-date and performance.
For Exchange accounts using Cached Exchange Mode, Outlook automatically synchronizes emails in the background so manually adjusting the frequency might not be necessary.
If you still can't find the Send/Receive tab or have any further questions, let me know and I'll be happy to assist you further.
Hope this helps and answer your question.
